Elizabeth Baptist Church, a large, continually growing church, is located on a 35-acre site in Fulton County. With over 106 feet of grade change across the site, a well thought out grading plan was critical. During the grading and drainage process, extraordinary efforts were made to avoid existing rock conditions while terracing the site to accommodate the church’s demanding program.
A grand boulevard entrance leads the visitors to the main sanctuary and a breath-taking welcome. Design elements incorporated in the master plan include educational facilities, adult learning facilities, active and passive use recreation, a counseling center, and a community center. This approach successfully achieved church members’ desire for a unified “campus” feel.
